In Brazil, Law 13.709 / 2018, the so-called General Law for the Protection of Personal Data (the LGPD), was approved. The LGPD brings the rights and duties of companies and citizens, specifying what actions and adjustments must be made in the structures of companies so that they can be fully adequate when the effects start on early 2021.
